Your main responsibilities will be the following: Writing maintainable and efficient code leveraging software engineering best practices Using your knowledge for maintaining our core PHP monolith (bug fixing, feature requests, etc) but also help us migrate various features to our microservices-based systems (powered by Node. js) Contribute to improving our internal development and testing processes Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders Requirements Proven work experience as a developer on apps running in production Solid knowledge and experience with PHP (2 years) Work experience with at least one PHP framework (preferably Symfony) Work experience with relational databases (MySQL) and Object-Relational Mapping libraries (preferably Doctrine) Ability to work comfortably on refactoring and maintaining legacy applications Hands-on experience with integrating external systems (through REST APIs) Knowledge of version control tools (Git) Excellent communication skills: good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory as we are an international team Experience in writing modern JavaScript (> ES6) General front-end knowledge (HTML5, CSS3) and related frameworks (ideally Vue. js) Working exprience with Node. js, TypeScript, Go or Python Nice-to-have Experience with managing services on a cloud computing provider (e. g. AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with serverless computing and related platforms (e. g.
