Bar - Chef De Rang - The Gritti Palace, Venice - Season 2025
The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Chef de Rang for the Longhi Bar and Riva Lounge Bar. Reporting to the Bar Manager, the Chef de Rang will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for F&B.
It is a seasonal, full-time contract role (40-hour working week).
Period: April – October 2025

What you'll be doing Welcome guests and promptly attend to tablesServe food and beverages to guests making recommendations if neededShare your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requestsRecord transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timelyCheck-in with guests to assure satisfaction with each course and beverageClean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other suppliesCommunicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, wait times, recook orders, and product availabilityFollow cycle time guidelines for all mealsMaintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the dayInspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to useFollow Standard Operating Procedures and brand identity guidelines at all times What we're looking for You must possess the legal right to work in Italy. Valid work permit for full-time role (40 hours/week)Fluent in English and ItalianUnderstanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitalityPositive outlook and outgoing personalityGreat conversational skills and teamwork-orientedExperience in the same role in fine dining restaurants would be an advantageIdeally, knowledge of Micros This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
