We are currently seeking Base Maintenance Group Supervisors (BMG) for our Maintenance department. Job Category: The Base Maintenance Group role is a Technical Leader position. Location: Several facilities in USA and Canada.
Selected candidates will be trained in Italy (Tenaris Dalmine) for 1 year before relocating to the USA or Canada. Education/Experience/Skills:Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred, with previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing environment. English Language proficiency: Intermediate level (at least B2 level in Global Scale of English (GSE)). Previous experience in Maintenance is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours as per the requirements of the mill. Safety and Quality oriented, with strong follow-up and analytical skills. Interpersonal skills to work with hourly employees and Management. Purpose:Develops and supervises the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan.
Ensures systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities.
Supports the Engineering area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available and the startup of new pieces of equipment. Responsibilities:Optimizes reliability and maintainability of equipment by defining the maintenance strategy for each system, developing and supervising the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan, ensuring systematic failure, problem and performance analysis on equipment, defining corrective actions and generating improvement opportunities; providing technical support to emergency crews and staff areas. Performs and oversees inspections in his/her area of responsibility. Guarantees technical resource availability, ensuring a suitable minimum stock. Supports the Engineering area in the research and assessment of the best equipment available and the startup of new pieces of equipment. Draws up the maintenance cost budget and keeps costs within agreed limits. Ensures the application of health, safety and environment standards and practices, complies with HSE procedures, reports any incidents or observations, performs inspections, and participates in the investigation process. Participates in the development of maintenance information systems and supports actions as required. Participates in maintenance programs to minimize/optimize the use of required energy. Analyzes, interprets and recommends courses of action for more complex topics. Interacts with internal and/or external contacts with a higher level of autonomy. Complies with Tenaris policies, procedures and management standards, ensuring adherence to all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility. Proactively motivates, coaches, communicates with and develops his/her staff and manages HR-related activities in line with Human Resources norms and procedures.
