**Job Summary

**BaSE (Buildings and Systems Engineering)** is the technical department at UPS which takes care of building and sorting systems, maintenance, design and construction.

With our team we ensure the highest maintenance standard on the facilities and conveyor systems in order to keep the reliability at the highest level, minimize any downtimes and ensure a safe work environment within the UPS buildings.

The BaSE function is currently looking for a Supervisor to support UPS transformation towards automation.

**What do you do on an average day?

- You lead automation projects and implementation of system improvements;

- You are responsible for making sure the automated sorting system runs smoothly.

This requires a broad electrotechnical knowledge in terms of technology and interpersonal knowledge for the interaction between different departments;

- You are responsible for compliance with environmental and safety requirements, you conduct audits, perform trend analyses for compliance activities, etc;

- You work closely with the operations management to solve problems, optimize performance and promote efficiency of package flow and safety;

- You lead, coach and train specialists and technicians.

Assists with dispatching BaSE Technicians and specialists to complete necessary conveyor system repairs and sort support

**What should you be able to do?

- Technical (Mechatronics preferred or mechanical/electronics) Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in Automation environment;

- Technical insight and experience with electrical engineering;

- PLC or related programming experience including troubleshooting;

- Experience with Package sorting equipment such as Shoe sorter, cross belt sorters, singulators, camera tunnels, Speak and write english (Good level)

- Speak and write English (Good level) - Experience with team management
