Purpose of the Job

Manage accurate and competitive costing of bids according to Alstom financial rules

Organisation Reporting

**Direct reporting line**: Regional Center Bids Director or Senior Bid Cost Manager

**Responsibilities**:

Support Bid Manager, Tender Leader and Tax Expert in defining the proper and most competitive PIO

Ensure that Alstom financial rules are followed and standard costing/pricing tools are properly used

Support the Bid Manager & Bid Technical Manager to identify the "good enough" solution

Support BM in managing IFQ

Support BM in target cost definition

Request, consolidate and challenges the cost estimates from all internal and external stakeholders

Support Bid Manager, Tender Leader and Bid Technical Manager in identifying actions to reach target costs or improve offer competitiveness

Supports Bid Manager and Tender Leader in defining the tender Risks and Ambitions

Laise with Experts for Commercial Costs identification and costing

Ensure completeness and correctness of tender costing

Support the TL in Price List preparation

Support BM in preparing financial summary to be presented for bid validation

Provide to Bid Manager and Tender Leader the financial data and reports to edit Wall. C

Prepare cost analysis (target costs, benchmarks with similar tenders/projects, competitiveness) to support the deliver of winning bids

Defines the tender planning related to costing/pricing

Manages appropriate costing files configuration management according to Alstom rules and ensuring confidential access to costing/pricing information

Knowledge & Experience

Deep knowledge of Alstom financial rules

Good knowledge of Alstom business, technical & industrial solutions/products, technical and managerial processes in project phase

High Communications skills, reporting capabilities

Ability to manage confidential information

Leadership attitude

Resilience and ability to work within a limited time period and under stressful condition

High capability to team working

Excellent knowledge of Ms Excel; knowledge of VBA is a plus
