And that's where you come in. Location: Firenze, Italy (Hybrid)Position: Hitachi Rail GTS is looking for a Bid Manager for Signalling, Operation Control Centre and Telecoms systems for Railway and Urban Transportation market (Tramway / Mainline / Metro).
The Bid Manager ensures the preparation of a winning Technical-Economical proposal, within the assigned timeline and budget and respecting the required quality.
The Bid Manager leads the tender process coordinating all involved functions. Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise the overall tender preparation (offer or proposal). Apply Bid & Project Management processes, methodologies, techniques and tools aimed to achieve the objectives of the Bid, in full compliance with the assigned time and budget. Manage highly complex Bid, with different disciplines involved (multidisciplinary Bid), in a national and international context, in collaboration with other Group Units (Bid "Multi-Unit / Multi-Country"). Plan and coordinate Bid activities and the related resources of the Bid team. Responsible for the Bid process, including:In collaboration with the Sales Manager, analyze the context, characteristics and requirements of the opportunity, defining the initial positioning and strategy. Ensure the definition of the tender baseline for the development of the Bid activities. Prepare all Bid contributions (technical, commercial, financial, contractual) ensuring their validation and compliance with the Client's requirements. Consolidate contributions for the economical valorisation of the Bid. Present and submit the offer to the Management for approval. Support the Sales Manager in commercial meetings and negotiations. Ensure an adequate handover to the project team in case of order acquisition. Manage communications between internal stakeholders and customers on bid-related matters. Ensure compliance with the company values, the Code of Ethics, the Quality Manual and HSE regulations. Skills, Experience and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering/BusinessProven experience in the Railway Transport sectorProven experience in Project or Bid management (or similar roles)Technical background with strong commercial, contractual and financial exposureAble to work under pressure and lead multi-unit ad hoc bid teamsDemonstrated international exposureExcellent Italian language (spoken and written)Proficient in written and spoken EnglishExcellent Communication and Negotiation skillsResult oriented, strong drive in a team contextAvailability to travel both in Italy and abroad, including possible international mobilityThank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
