Body Control Interiors Responsable
We are hiring for an important client in automotive sector an **INTERIORS BODY CONTROL ENGINEER.
**Essential responsibilities**:
- Interiors/Body Control functions and related components development responsible who is in charge to coordinate the project team, to manage the Supplier, to control project costs, to deliver results for each GPD milestones, to keep in track timing and open issues.
- Lead development team, assigning necessary resources or defining outsource needs, and supporting smooth resolution of project issues
- Defines functions and components targets, owning function behavior and performances as well as functions and components release
- Work to support integration of products and systems with all vehicle platforms
- Work to support electronic and electrical requirements definition and the relevant constraints for the integration on vehicle (Requirements Elicitation), in terms of functionality, performances, manufacturability and serviceability, functional safety and cybersecurity.
- Support the review of the component validation for products and systems under development (Verification and Validation)
- Interface with Suppliers to source electric and electronic components, plan and monitor project execution (Supplier Management), defines priorities and escalation needs
- Review progress of projects and provides executive summaries to Management, keeping project planning aligned with the vehicle milestones and project cost within budget (Project Control)
- Develop and empower team resources, contributing to increase company know-how
- Propose innovations, creates invention disclosures, critiques and advocates proposals for others, propose and develop new design concepts and IP which will advance IVECO group product/systems
**Communication**: List the types of individuals this position regularly communicates with, both internally and externally (i. e.
customers, suppliers, regulatory agencies, union representatives), and describe the nature of the communication (i. e.
information exchange, influence and negotiate).
- Electronic Architecture team: electrical/electronic architecture definition support; sharing of project planning, functions concepts/platform approaches and vehicle integration constraints
- Electronic Functions/systems design team: coordination of technical documentation preparation and release, resource task assignments
- Cab/Chassis & powertrain design teams: sharing of project planning and coordination of the activities
- Suppliers/Partners design engineers: functional, network, safety, cybersecurity documentation, software delivery plans coordination.
Issues monitoring and escalation
- Product Validation/System tests engineers: sharing of project planning and coordination of the activities; support in problem solving.
- Chief Engineers: sharing of vehicle milestones, project planning, product specifications, acceptance criteria, project progress updates (technical and executive level), validation plans, open point list
- EOL/Diagnostic Tools and Services team: sharing of project planning and coordination of activities
- Customer/field support team: information exchange concerning product technical documentation and troubleshooting support
**Requirements**:
- MS/BS Degree in Engineering with emphasis in Electronic with work experience of at least 5-6 years.
- Deep technical knowledge and experience of body electronic functions and components (basic vehicle electrical functions/body computer, energy management, airbag and clima integration, electric components. . . )
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and power distribution principles
- Knowledge Design FMEA, FEM analysis, ISO26262 Functional Safety, Cyber security principles.
- Knowledge of Vehicle Electronic Architectures and Applications, including CAN communication, SAE J1939 protocol, ISO 14229 - UDS diagnostic protocol
- Proficiency in design analysis and experience in systems integration
- Remarkable aptitudes for leadership and team-working; drive and commitment to meet the goals.
Deep experience in coordinating and managing team resources.
- Communication skills to cooperate with technical/management partners inside the Company and other agencies/companies, with particular reference to external customers
- English language: advanced level
- Availability to national and international business trips for short periods (approx.
frequency: 1 trip per month)
