Borsa Italiana Markets Supervision oversees trading activity in all Borsa Italiana markets, monitors fair and orderly trading conditions, member firms' compliance with rules and regulations, market making and specialist quotation obligations etc.

The Market Supervision team also carry out a series of market operational tasks such as assistance to members on compliance-related matters, order handling, error trade management, price adjustments of equity cash and derivatives instruments and indices subsequent to corporate actions (i. e.

adjustment coefficients calculation, evaluation of ex-rights, warrants and convertible bonds issues, support to issuers and other BIt teams), fair price valuation for newly listed securities, calculation of settlement prices of derivatives contracts, second-level control of primary index, co-operation with and assistance to other business units to product development.

In the context of the migration of the Borsa Italiana Markets to the new Euronext Optiq trading Platform, Borsa Italiana Markets Supervision is looking for a Trading Surveillance Analyst.

The position is based in Milan.

Description

The Trading Surveillance Analyst activity will include real-time and off-line surveillance of Borsa Italiana Markets migrating on to the Optiq Platform.

Key Responsibilities

A combination of the following responsibilities and tasks according to Borsa Italiana Markets Supervision guidelines:

- Assist in real-time market surveillance activities, with particular reference to cash and bond markets and ETF, starting of the markets activities and after hours.

As an example, the activities include markets interventions on the trading system, member firms and instrument trading suspensions and resumptions, trading parameters and prices managements, handling of input errors, orders and trades cancellations

- Assistance to member firms requests (e. g.

order deletion, error trades handling, basic regulatory queries);

- Perform real time and ex-post monitoring of liquidity provision obligations and other surveillance reports

- Perform functional testing activities related to the trading platform, to the surveillance system and to the Optiq intervention tools

- Assist in the maintenance of internal policies and procedures related to markets supervision activities

- Assist in the preparation of regulatory reports, including appropriate regulatory analysis

- Build and maintain an understanding of Euronext regulatory environment, relevant rules and regulations, technologies and systems, processes and operational methodologies

Work experience

Brilliant new graduate in Finance or with maximum 1-2 years of professional experience.

Experience in a regulatory, compliance or surveillance role is a plus.

Required skills

- Knowledge of general securities industry, rules and regulations

- Good knowledge of markets

- Fluency in both written and spoken English

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point);

- Precision and attention to details

- Double-check accuracy to provide best-in-class work with no errors

- Ability to work under pressure, completing multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy and quality
