Business Analyst
The Business Analyst oversees and conducts the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions for internal purposes in Commercial Finance and for external stakeholders in Bacardi.
Working directly with stakeholders and the business's top management and executives within the assigned departments.
The Business Analyst will have to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, prioritize work, and remain functional under pressure, and aggressive timelines. - The final goal is to proactively find new way of working and information to deliver the highest possible value to the business.
**Responsibilities**:
- Management and Strategy: In this position, the Business Analyst develops clear and well-structured analytical plans and analyzes large datasets - integrating internal (e. g.
P&L) and external (e. g.
market share or commercial executions KPI's) data.
More than just creating reports, the expectation is to develop insights and then share them with management, with recommendations on actions.
- Data infrastructure: The Business Analyst also plays a part in shaping the business's data infrastructure, inclusive of data-warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms.
He or she identifies, communicates, and endeavours to improve the supply of data (faster, more accurate, easier to turn into insights).
- Support: The Business Analyst plays a supporting role in the business where he/she develops logical and conceptual data flows that are in support of departmental project requirements and guides various business departments in appropriate and effective use of data.
He/she is also the responsible of the position to build and operationalize processes that ensure timely data-loading and maintain accuracy and data-quality.
- The Business Analyst supports and executes change management activities regarding data analysis across business departments and works on the data knowledge improvement of the other departments supporting them both providing information and training them on the different tools.
Additionally, identifying and communicating risks and issues in projects/programs initiated by the assigned departments and communicates this information to the relevant leadership.
- This role is varied and will require interacting witht he Sales team, Category Manager, IT departments and other key stakeholders in Milan and Italy.
As a result, you will be mainly based in Milan but at times we may need you to travel to stay connected.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or any other related field.
- A strong and verifiable equivalent of the same in working experience and on-going studies is also acceptable for this position.
- Experience: At least 2/3 years in a Data Analyst Position, preferably working as a Data Analyst or commercial finance position in a fast-paced and dynamic business setting.
- Have had experience working in Report Creation, modeling, and trend forecasting
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
PowerPivot, Nielsen IQ and BI will be a plus
- Self - organisation and problem solver
- Proficiency in English language skills
- Ability to transform large sets of data into meaningful insights and then to recommend tangible actions to improve the business
