Business Analyst - Npi Analyst

** From the outset, the Business Analyst will be expected to be a contributing performer, supporting business processes utilizing business analysis techniques.
Additionally, this position will:
- participate on and lead teams.
The Business Analyst identifies relevant product-related data, provides feedback, and influences decisions.
Business Analysts will be responsible for making front-line decisions related to product cost, interacting mostly with non-accountants at various levels.
Work will be directed by an accounting or non-accounting supervisor, but this position does not require close supervision to be effective.
As NPI (New Product Introduction) analyst, she/he will be part of a multifunctional team, and will be asked to provide cost estimates of components and/or products, verify soundness of cost and profitability and provide analysis of return of projects.
Possible areas of responsibility are varied, including:
- presentation and explanation of results to management
- cost accounting / decision support including: operations and/or product group budgeting and expense analysis, determining Internal Rate of Return (IRR), and NPI support including future cost, should cost and alternative analyses
- cost system maintenance, Product Line Profitability reporting, Normals and machine rate development, prime product or component costing, capital asset forecasting.
The Business Analyst is capable of handling complex business issues such as capital asset justifications, current product cost monitoring, and establishing and monitoring target costs.
Business Analysts demonstrate knowledge and ability to independently handle business issues.
They demonstrate good communication skills and have a good knowledge of businesses, products, suppliers and customers.
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE: Requires a 5-year degree in Engineering or 4-year degree in Accounting, a fluent English and must demonstrate initiative, leadership, and the ability to effectively communicate.
Non-accounting degree requires minimum of 18 hours of college level accounting or approved Accounting certification.
Outside the U. S. , international equivalent of education and/or certification are typically required.

Must have proven record of process and accomplishments at lower levels.
Must demonstrate initiative, leadership, good judgment and superior communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem solving and human relations skills also are necessary.
5-7 years of accounting experience is recommended.
