Responsibilities And ChallengesYou will be part of a dedicated local Water in Cities team of eight colleagues whose competencies range from riverine hydraulics to aquifers, from water distribution to collection systems and treatment plants, with a specific focus on numerical modeling and real-time Decision Support Systems.

Furthermore, you will closely collaborate with a team of WWTP experts located in other DHI offices. Main ResponsibilitiesDriving business development and project acquisition in the WWTP sector, identifying and pursuing new opportunitiesProviding technical leadership and consultancy for wastewater treatment plant design, optimization, and performance improvementDeveloping and applying numerical models for WWTP process simulation, including biological treatment, hydraulics, and energy optimizationLeading and managing projects from proposal stage to implementation, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfactionSupporting clients with domain expertise, offering tailored solutions for operational efficiency and regulatory complianceCollecting and analyzing hydrological, hydraulic, and process data to inform decision-making and model calibrationImplementing and maintaining Decision Support Systems for real-time monitoring and optimization of WWTP operationsDeveloping and delivering software training sessions for internal teams and external clientsBuilding strong client relationships and ensuring high-quality client care to drive long-term collaboration and repeat businessQualifications And Personal SkillsEducational background in civil/environmental engineering or a related field8+ years of experience in wastewater treatment consulting, numerical modeling, or process optimization (senior profiles will also be considered)Proven expertise in WWTP process modeling and optimization, with experience using tools such as WEST, BioWin, GPS-X or similarStrong business acumen with the ability to identify and develop new project opportunities in the WWTP sectorExperience in client relationship management, proposal development, and consulting salesHands-on experience in WWTP operation, data-driven process optimization, and decision support systemsMentorship and leadership skills to guide and support junior colleaguesProficiency in data analysis and processing, with experience in Python, MATLAB, Modelica, or other programming languages as an advantageFluency in Italian and English (written and spoken)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteWe offerTo Work At DHI Means Being Part Of a Global Organisation That Is The Leader World-wide In Solving The World's Toughest Challenges In Water Environment We Will Offer YouA job where the keyword is innovationA team of highly motivated colleagues, experts is the digital water spaceA job in an informal and truly international environmentA great opportunity to utilise, shape and expand your skills and expertiseOffice location: Genoa, Italy or hybridApplication / next stepPlease submit your application including CV via the relevant job posting on DHI's website: DHI CareersDeadline for application is (31-03-2025)For further information please contact (Davide Persi, dpe@dhigroupcom) #J-18808-Ljbffr
