**Our COP Business Case and Bid Team is looking for an experienced profile with extensive knowledge from the Renewable/Infrastructure industry and experience within valuation, business cases, M&A processes and corporate finance.
This role will be based in Milan (Italy) and report to the Italy Commercial Director.
As a member of our global Business Case and Bid Team, you will become an important part of the company and have key responsibilities for the business case function for offshore wind projects in Italy.
The functional team currently consists of ~25 people of which 1 is already based in Milan and the rest across our global offices so you will therefore also become an important part of a truly international company.
The position will be based in COP's office in Milan where you will be working on current and future offshore wind projects in Italy, thus also becoming part of the Italian offshore wind project team (currently ~15 people in Milan).
**Your key objectives are**:
- Develop, maintain and operate business cases for offshore wind projects
- Support financial modelling and valuation analysis of offshore wind projects
- Bid development and financial support for offshore wind offtake and leasing auctions
- Provide relevant financial analysis in relation to tender bids and key supplier selection decisions
- Support preparation of strategic decision material and financial updates to Senior management and Investment Committees
- Support and facilitate key decisions with comprehensive energy market analysis, regulatory framework monitoring, high-level market strategy for value improvement of projects, including assessment of new offshore wind markets
- Development of in-house knowledge and tools for business case assessments
- Participate in due diligence processes for acquisitions of new projects
- Business development support to early-stage offshore wind projects
**To succeed in this role, you have**:
- Top academic performer with an interest in large and complex infrastructure projects
- Experience from the energy sector - offshore wind industry is preferred
- Experience with valuation, business cases, M&A processes and corporate finance
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Super user in Excel and PowerPoint
- Self-driven team player with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Dedicated and persistent with an eye for details
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present and communicate complex matters
