**BACKGROUND**:
We are seeking to fill a position of a Consultant, based in the Corporate Business Continuity Management (BCM) office, in the Deputy Executive Director's Office, in Rome, Italy.
The BCM office is responsible for leading WFP's corporate BCM work and supporting organizational resilience efforts.
The team is the custodian of all corporate level business continuity policies, circulars and guidance as well as WFP's corporate BCM plan.
The team supports both the Headquarters Functional Areas - such as Finance, HR, TEC, - and all Field Offices in development of their BCM plans, including by providing templates, advising on process mapping, and training.
Development and organization of business continuity maintenance and testing, managing WFP's Organizational Resilience Management Group (ORMG), and participation in inter-agency working groups are also responsibilities of the team.
**PURPOSE**:
The Consultant will report to the Head of the BCM office and will be expected to lead and participate in a range of tasks, to ensure that the BCM team's objectives are met.
The Consultant will be expected to interact professionally with all interlocutors, to produce accurate and organized work and to demonstrate good teamwork, communication (written and verbal), proactivity and client orientation skills.
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive)**:
- Participate in the upkeep and improvement of corporate level organizational resilience, business continuity and crisis management related policies, circulars, guidance, and templates; alignment with other relevant WFP and UN system policies and frameworks.
- Support upkeep and improvement of WFP's corporate BCM and Crisis management plans and documentation.
- Lead support to selected HQ Functional Areas - such as Finance, HR, TEC, in upkeep and improvement of their BC plans, including by providing templates and advising on process mapping and design of devolution and NASA models.
- Support to selected RBx and COs in upkeep and improvement of their BC plans, including by providing templates and guidance.
Alignment with other key WFP stakeholders (emergency prepadeness, risk, ) and other UN systems (UNDSS, UNCT, ).
- Participate in development of a framework and supporting business continuity maintenance; manage and coordinate testing exercises for HQ functional areas and field offices.
- Development of training curriculum and making it available to all staff via WeLearn.
- Participate in design and launch of an awareness campaign on BCM and manage development of an easy access repository of information.
- Collaborate with ICT in upgrade and solidification of BCM related IT tools and systems, i. e.
e-Guide, Provision and Wings emergency access.
- Secretariat for WFP's Organizational Resilience Management Group (ORMG), including reporting to legislative bodies on status of ORMS in WFP.
- Participation in inter-agency working groups and other collaboration with other agencies.
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:
**Education**:
University degree in ICT, Economics, Management, Finance or other relevant field
**Experience**:
Three or more years of relevant work experience
**Knowledge and Skills**:
- Deep understanding of data management and use of data for analytical purposes, e. g.
management reporting
- Experience in variety of ICT systems and reporting tools, e. g.
design and implementation of dashboards
- Knowledge and experience in development of KPIs, data collection and visualization
- Understanding of business model and services of key HQ Functional Areas, e. g.
Finance, HR, ICT, , and related data flows; ability to support impact analysis and process mapping in these areas
- Ability to engage with key stakeholders in various technical areas, and support in business process mapping and engineering
- Experience in supporting field operations
**Languages**:
Working knowledge (proficiency/FAO level C) of English.
