Configuration & Data Management discipline main goal is to provide consistency, reproducibility and traceability during the lifecycle of a product or a project.
Configuration & Data Management team in Thales Alenia Space is composed by around 150 people located in France, Italy, Belgium, Spain, UK, Switzerland and distributed in 10 industrial sites.
Mission
Based in Rome (or Turin) and reporting to the Head of PMO CADM, the mission of the required profile
- at transnational level
- is to:
- contribute to the growth and competitiveness objectives within the implementation of performance improvement actions in line with inputs coming from the Company or the Corporate;
- support the direct manager and CADM Director to measure the operational capability of his organization in terms of efficient use of economic (overall budget) and workload resources to achieve its economic and role objectives;
- support the preparation of Budget reviews
- ndertake all baseline and change control activities associated with the schedules including regular local archiving of the associated database(s).
- analyze resource profiles resulting from the monthly schedule update process and make recommendations to reconcile resource loading anomalies
- coordinate needed activities to assure the correct workload in the WEP of the domain and the right level of adequacy;
- interact with managers to verify/support requests in terms of resources adequacy and to manage intra-Domain mobility of work and/or resources;
- coordinate activities to publish an exhaustive dashboard for team activities in terms of CADM KPIs;
- interface with CFO representative with regard to CADM financial issues;
- periodically coordinate the lesson learnt and REXs on activities performed by CM for Products and Programs, supporting the sharing of knowledge and processes evolution;
- support PMO manager to work on CADM people skill evolution and relating matrix of competences;
**Skills**:
- Experience of planning and scheduling projects in a complex industry (such as rail, aerospace or similar)
- Proficient user of Primavera P6 planning tool
- Knowledge of MS suite, mainly Project, Access and Excel
- Good understanding of Bid Governance and Project Management environment, commercial awareness
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines, and manage own workload without the requirement for regular direct supervision.
- Ability to adapt to new ways of working and multiple project teams
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Awareness of wider project controls concepts and Earned Value Management
Profile
- University Curricula: degree in Economics or Engineering
- Experience (1 to 5 years) in a complex industry
- Proficiency in both English (B2) and Italian languages
- French knowledge (A2)
