**Job Description**:
The business area Europe is responsible for development and ownership of wind, solar and grid services, and also to operate power plants across the region.
In Europe, we will take a leading role in supporting the energy markets and the transition ahead, based on our position as Europe's largest producer of renewable energy and our significant market operations.
We will accelerate our growth in solar, onshore wind, and battery storage in our existing markets, supporting Statkraft to reach an annual development rate of 4 GW by 2030.
Going forward, we aim to keep more ownership of wind and solar assets in Europe, as well as deliver competitive operations and maintenance at scale for own assets.
We are currently looking to recruit a business controller dedicated to Italy projects' portfolio to strengthen the business area Finance Team.
The team is responsible for the full suite of finance services across our renewable energy projects of onshore wind, solar and battery storage in Italy.
You will report to the Finance Manager Italy, while also closely collaborating with the finance departments across Europe.
As a Business controller for Italy your main responsibilities will be:
- Take project controller role for wind, solar and battery storage development projects in Italy
- Financial management of our projects delivering a scope of financial services which ensures the books and records of the projects are true and fair
- Drive business performance, create value in the business unit through useful analysis and adequate business controlling tools and processes
- Budgeting, forecasting and variation analysis
- Cashflow & treasury management of the portfolio, planning liquidity in the project entities ensuring sufficient funding
- Management of off-balance sheet positions, commitments, guarantees, bonds
- Tracking KPI's and reporting performance to senior management, project managers and key stakeholders
- Collaboration with the project team, stakeholders, and senior management
- Month end preparation and control testing
- Ongoing collaboration with finance departments across Europe
- Preparation of input to quarterly internal Business Reviews
- Insurance management of portfolio
- Support due diligence processes in investments and divestments
- Additional or alternative tasks as required from time to time by the finance team
**Qualifications**:
- Solid experience/Strong background in Business controlling
- University degree in accountancy, finance or similar
- Relevant post-qualification work experience in an Accountant's function
- Knowledge of International Accounting Standards, general tax experience in CT and VAT
- Good working knowledge desired of accounts packages - SAP
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), working knowledge of Sharepoint, desirable
- Independent self-starter, able to prioritize tasks and effectively working under pressure
- High level of attention to details
- Pro-active approach to problem solving
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Italian and English
- Experience within a project-lead business in a large or medium-sized international organization
