Aim of the positionThe Business Development & Sales Manager is responsible for gathering data and information about the specific industry and reviewing competitor data to generate potential business ideas.
He/She monitors specific markets, supported by the regional hubs, to continuously align company strategy and project funnels.
Participation in meetings with the marketing and sales teams to review sales goals and present ideas for new business ventures, as well as joining regular meetings with headquarters for global coordination on Sales and BD activities and meeting with company executives to discuss successful leads and get approval for new projects, are also the responsibilities of the BD & Sales Manager. Main responsibilities and contentsSpecifically, the resource will engage in the following activities: Identify and develop possible opportunities in the hydrogen and chlor-alkali market; Develop and maintain client relationships; Coordinate with the Proposal and Technical department to develop proposals that fit client requests and expectations; Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders; Gather useful information from customer and competitor data; Make and give presentations to prospects and internal executives.
Skills, qualifications, and abilitiesThe ideal candidate satisfies the following requirements: Bachelor's degree in business management, industrial technology, or a related discipline; Experience in Sales and Customer Relationship Management (industrial plants); Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Familiarity with project management and execution processes; Familiarity with the chemical plant and/or energy industry; Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions; Ability and willingness to engage with different cultures and travel for meetings with prospective and existing clients.
