The Role Our Sales Grocery Team ensures the onboarding of the most relevant Grocery Retailers in the Italian market that are not working with Deliveroo yet. As our business continues to scale, we become a major revenue channel for Grocery Partners, providing best-in-class support and using data-driven insight to drive our partner's growth.
What you'll be doing: Pitch and close grocery partnerships with relevant players in the territory through various communication channels (cold calls, visits, in-person meetings). Manage your pipeline and portfolio of leads to ensure strong conversion rates and exceed volume & quality targets. Lead the end-to-end sales cycle through strategic negotiations and attractive offers that achieve business objectives. Ensure a smooth integration process for partners, from registration to operational launch and generating sales. Support our wider commercial team with ad-hoc strategic initiatives like field pitch days and marketing roll-outs. This is an individual contributor role and will NOT involve managing a team. Skills & Requirements: 5-6 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in groceries/retail or FMCG. Self-driven with a proven sales record and appetite for scaling your portfolio. Strong communication skills, whether face-to-face, through phone, or email. Perseverance and grit – not afraid of rejection. Competitiveness – working within a highly efficient team. Curiosity – a lifelong learner who tests new ideas. Top-notch people skills – strong emotional intelligence. Team player – great at collaborating with other teams.
