To interact with customers and distribution partners to increase market take-up and new technology acceptance of companies' new products.
Also to create sales by association based on theme and success sharing.
To increase POT and also measure and report an increase in billings and design wins linked to this role.
**Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
- Visit customers, prospects and distributors' sales branches.
Target top 30 customers in the region and maximise potential
- Generate customer target/hit list for territory, report the activity as part of action plan monthly
- Promote solutions; offer alternatives and best fitting of company components to customers.
- Have an excellent understanding of target customer needs and their business and how Omron support and increases SOM
- Conduct presentations, sales calls and visits with customers and distributors, both individually and with expanded pursuit teams.
- Prepare monthly sales reports for a defined list of new items by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and submitting the same on a timely basis.
- Identify new POT (potential) and collate new quotes with the relevant ASM
- Generate and collate customer/market intelligence on customers/competitors/products.
- Execute and adhere to company quality policies and procedures and OGR / JSOX compliance requirements
**Required Education and Qualification
- BA Electronic/Electrical Engineer or industry experience
- Be familiar with and understand industry trends, market activities and competitive landscapes in the electrical and mechanical components business.
- Continually grow knowledge base by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; maintaining and growing professional contact networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices and participating in professional trade associations.
**Required specific knowledge, skills and experience
- Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, change management, structuring sales quota goals and revenue expectations.
- Be capable of writing and delivering sales arguments and business plans.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- Good knowledge of internal computer software (E-Sales, Business planning database).
- Proficient in local language and good English skills (any other European language is a pre).
- Ability to use non-product price elements in negotiations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Well-organized, structured, good communicator, analytical thinker, self-motivated, target-driven and ambitious.
- New Business Development capabilities (e. g.
research on potential accounts, generating shortlists, making cold calls, selling concepts).
