Business Development Manager
As the Business Development Manager, you'll identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability and help the business grow. As part of the role, you will also oversee the operations of all staff in the office supporting the delivery of customer services, facility management, HR, health & safety, information processing systems, quality procedures and processes in liaison and coordination with the Operations, HR, IT and respective service Departments. Responsibilities: Business Development Managing, coaching, and leading the Business Development Team. Developing and strengthening existing customer relationships and creating new engagements which enables AVASK to expand its market reach. Establish strong relationships with key accounts through demonstration of excellent service and support, and commercial and technical competence. Provide excellent market, customer and competitor information to the senior leadership team and provide strategies for growing and building the business profitably, in line with the company goals. Regular KPI monitoring and ensuring that targets are met. Be able to sell and advise on all AVASK services. Preparing and delivering presentations and producing marketing material with external partners and other service providers. Travelling and attending networking events, seminars, and conferences – virtually and in person. Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business. Identifying cross-selling opportunities across the business. Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world and communicate to the team. Maintaining own knowledge and skills for continuous self-development. Operations Ensuring that the company has the adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities. Support staff and liaise with HR to support where required. Maintaining relationships with partners/vendors/suppliers. Gathering, analysing and interpreting external and internal data and writing reports. Ensuring adherence to legal rules and guidelines. Ensuring that the premises are properly maintained and cleaned, and that adequate fire prevention and security systems are in place. Managing the procurement of equipment, supplies and services within target budgets. Monitoring client satisfaction, recording, investigating, and responding to complaints. Assisting with the internal auditing of systems and processes. Skills Educated to Degree level. Possess a high level of market knowledge. A background in direct sales and customer service. Confident, professional, and friendly so customer relationships are of the highest quality. Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets. Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients. Excellent written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people, both internally and externally, as well as presentation skills. Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to work. The ability to multitask and prioritise your workload. Project management and organisational skills. The ability to positively influence team members. The ability to analyse sales figures and write reports. A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Strong commercial acumen. Patience and emotional resilience for dealing with customers.
