**Business Development manager - BMS Europe
This is an amazing opportunity for a driven professional to join our Building Management System (BMS) Europe team composed of a diverse group of women and men from all over the world, and play an important role in the exciting transformation of our sales model and industry, making building smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
This position will be based in Italy.
In this role, you will be leading the deployment of the growth strategy in one of multiple segments/verticals market in Europe.
The position reports to the BMS Europe Verticals Business Development Director.
You will work collaboratively with the country leaders and sales teams, Product Marketing, Customer Marketing teams and Honeywell adjacent business leaders in Europe and globally to drive the growth in target segments/verticals and become the go-to expert.
Measures of success will include driving year-on-year growth in sales opportunities, sales revenue/orders, cross sell revenue, adoption of New products and digital platforms, new customers acquisition for the target segments/verticals.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Develop a deep understanding of stakeholders' unmet needs, market trends affecting these needs today and in future, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Contribute to the formulation of the growth strategy for the target segments/verticals and the development of best in class differentiated solutions leveraging BMS product portfolio and adjacent Honeywell Building Technology portfolio, working closely with Product Marketing team and local sales team and channels.
Ensure specific requirements are fed into the product roadmaps and delivered.
- Establish yourself and the local teams as the segments/verticals experts.
Be a change agent and innovator of the industry.
Identify and lead with early adopters of technology.
- Translate the strategic growth plans into practical sales playbooks, effective demand generation activities, and value selling content.
- Lead the rigorous formulation of sales strategy, territory plan and conduct regular pipeline and key pursuit reviews to grow new project wins and new customers acquisition.
- Identify new channel opportunities to drive growth in the target segments/verticals as well leveraging existing channels.
- Partner with Customer Marketing team to define the communication plan and prepare impactful events, campaigns and sales collaterals (ppt, video, webinars, etc.
).
- 7+ years professional experience in sales or marketing areas with a background in sales, marketing, and new business development ideally in Building Management industry.
- A track record of successes in deploying business strategies and tracking its implementation in a multi national environment.
- A passion to win, excellent influencing skills, market awareness and a sound business acumen.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, to coach sellers for high performance are key to succeeding.
- High emotional intelligence and ability to create a motivating collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical mindset and in-depth understanding of value selling, sale process, KPI's and CRM.
- Fluent in English and one other European language (Italian preferred)
**Highly Desirable
- Sales & Marketing degree/MBA on top of engineering degree
- Another European language
- Building management system or adjacent industry experience
