Business Development Manager - Customs
Overview: This client is a leading European provider of innovative customs and trade solutions, seeking passionate and driven Business Development Managers to join their expanding team across Italy. In this role, you will identify growth opportunities, build strong client relationships, and promote their suite of solutions to drive revenue and market share. If you have experience in freight forwarding or multimode transport and a proactive mindset, this client wants to hear from you. Prior knowledge of customs is an advantage, but candidates eager to learn and grow in this domain are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and meet sales targets in Italy. Identify and establish relationships with new clients while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and recommending suitable customs and trade solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless client on boarding and service delivery. Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for growth. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to build brand awareness. Requirements: Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably in freight forwarding, multimode transport, or related industries. Prior experience with customs is a strong advantage but not essential; willingness to learn customs is required. Fluent in both Italian and English (written and spoken). Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships. Results-oriented mindset with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
