**Your key responsibilities**:
- Map and develop existing and emerging markets in the field of Energy, Chemical Processing and Oil & Gas
- Identify new business opportunities and drive developments until commercialization
- Build and implement business development strategies in area of responsibility
- Develop in-depth understanding of market dynamics and technologies in area of responsibility
- Drive product awareness and specifications at customers, influencers and end-users
- Build industry networks
- Provide competitive information to segment and business leaders
- Develop profitable growth plans and lead commercial negotiations
- Deliver yearly profit objectives and business targets
**Your qualification profile**:
- Experienced business developer able to identify and acquire new customers and new business opportunities
- Experience in selling high-performance polymers and/or elastomers and developing technical projects
- Strong business acumen, proven growth track record and ability to provide analytical and strategic guidance** **to business management and peers
- Active listener able to seek market and customer input and translate into growth strategies and actionable plans
- Ability to negotiate in challenging situations.

- Ability to work in diverse, cross-functional team to reach common goals
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter, dynamic, proactive, results-driven, creative, team spirit
- Technical degree in chemistry or engineering is preferred
- Several years of experience in a similar role
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time in EMEA
**Location
Germany or Italy preferred.
Home office from other European countries negotiable
**Languages
Fluency in English and German or Italian
