Business Development Manager Ivs
We are looking for an independent and ambitious Business Development Manager for the Industrial Vacuum Solutions (IVS) Division of Nilfisk.
The role of the Business Development Manager is to assist the Local Sales Companies with medium to low Industrial Vacuum Solutions (IVS) competence to grow in a sustainable and profitable manner their local business, providing:
- Support to the Local Sales Companies in defining their local Go-To-Market Strategy, e. g.
via the direct and indirect sales channels
- Increase competence level within the local Sales Companies who have lower competence on IVS - products and accessories - so that in the future they can increase their local knowledge and sell IVS Solutions independently
- Help the Local Sales companies to define the product assortment based on above, as well as train the local sales organizations on those products, accessories and solutions
- Collaborate with the Local Sales Organization on finding opportunities of new contracts within the IVS Business.
At the same time, collaborate with the Commercial Center of Excellence and R&D Team in Zocca in defining and executing on above mentioned opportunities defining the end product
Moreover, as a Business Development Manager you will:
- Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial, competitive, sales, marketing, and other information about potential customers, new markets, services or other business opportunities.
- Prepare documents and materials (such as reports, presentations, information packages) for meetings and negotiations with potential clients and business partners.
- Oversee the development of key projects and major sales opportunities and be accountable for the successful development of our engineered IVS systems
- Support the preparation of business proposals and make recommendations to senior management.
- Work with NIlfisk's Global and Local Sales Organizations, Marketing and Product Management
- Own directly one or more accounts that are strategic for the business.

The Business Development Manager will be located in our IVS Competence Center in Zocca (MO), Italy and will report to the Vice-President of Commercial Management, IVS.
Minimum requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role, with professional experience in durable goods and highly technical products within the B2B environment within Industrial Manufacturing companies
- Strong sales related background
- Customer oriented attitude
- Fluency in English is a must, other languages preferred
- Data focused approach
- Sales metric and marketing intelligence professional
- Willingness to travel internationally
Preferred skills and experiences
- You have a combination of commercial acumen and knowledge on prospecting, sales planning, value selling
- You hold an Engineering/Technical Background complemented by a Master in Business Administration (not mandatory)
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills
