Unlocking the full potential of life. Job PurposeThe Global Business Insights & Analytics Lead will provide essential data-driven insights and analysis to support the Global Rare Disease Franchises and Leadership Team.
This role is crucial for driving business growth and maintaining the company's leadership in the rare diseases sector.
The Lead will leverage data analytics to guide decision-making and optimize the organization's strategic initiatives.
We are seeking a highly experienced and analytical Manager, Data Analyst and Forecasting Expert to join our team and contribute to our diverse therapeutic areas.
Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis: Analyse and interpret complex market data sets to provide actionable insights across various therapeutic areas, including Endocrinology, Metabolic Diseases, Haematology, and Oncology. Forecasting: Develop, harmonize and implement, in collaboration with the Global Franchise Teams, Regions and Countries, robust forecasting models to predict market trends, patient needs, and product performance. Market Research: Lead market research and data analytics initiatives in collaboration with Global Rare Diseases Franchises to comprehensively understand the patient journey, customer needs, brand performance and healthcare trends.
Generate actionable insights to inform market positioning and the development of long-term strategic forecasts. Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner to support strategic decision-making. Innovation: Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in data analysis and forecasting. Required EducationBachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or similar quantitative field; MBA preferred. Required Skills and Experience7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry within strategy, finance, business intelligence/analytics, or other data-intensive roles. Expertise in quantitative analysis, financial modelling, and business intelligence tools. Proven track record of delivering data-driven insights and recommendations that influence business strategies. Experience with market forecasting, performance measurement, and strategic planning. Consulting experience is a plus. Experience working with multiple indications and therapeutic areas. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including financial modelling), PowerPoint, and other data analysis tools. Strong experience in using data visualization tools to communicate complex findings effectively. Required Behaviours and CompetenciesCross Geography and Cross Functional Collaboration: Promote data-sharing across teams to maximize impact.
Work closely withGlobal teams including Commercial, Medical Affairs, R&D, Finance, Regulatory, Legal/Compliance/Data privacy, S&OP, Value & Access, Business Development. Regional Counterparts (US, EMEA, LAC Regional Business Analyst). Countries. Mentorship & Expertise Sharing: Mentor and coach team members, promoting the use of data analysis to drive decision-making across the organization.
Share domain expertise to support the development of the team's analytical capabilities. Stakeholder Communication: Present findings and insights to relevant stakeholders in a clear, data-supported manner.
Use data visualization and reporting tools to communicate complex analyses effectively. Required LanguagesFluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is an added benefit.
Travel required in %The ability to travel 20% of the time.
