Business Translator
Generali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development and welfare of modern societies.
The Group Analytic Solution Centre function has the responsibility of providing Data Analytics expertise and services to the BUs, ensuring alignment with Group Strategic Priorities defining and implementing the strategy and methods to analyze data to solve business issues, supporting the identification of new business initiatives, enhancing the existing portfolios in Life, P&C and Health business and supporting Claims process optimization in coordination with the relevant Group functions.
The ultimate goal of the Analytics Solution Centre is to support the digital transformation of the company through the development of data analytics promoting a "data driven" approach within the Generali Group, in order to innovate and speed up the decision making processes
The Business Translator to manage the following activities:
- Collaborate with internal clients to understand business context and identify new opportunities for collaboration with the Business Units
- Define in agreement with stakeholders the overall project plan including business case
- Prioritize and monitor project progress against goals, identify risks and roadblocks and escalate as necessary
- Act as the interface between the business owner and the data scientists assigned to the project
- Communicate and engage with key internal stakeholders to collaboratively solve project problems
- Provide regular reports and updates to management, communicating effectively in a structured and concise manner
Must have
- 5+ years of experience
- Knowledge of data analytics techniques, statistical modeling, data mining and advanced segmentation, using large marketing databases
- A minimum of 3 years proven managerial or supervisory experience
- Master degree in scientific disciplines (Business, Finance, Operations Research, Management Engineering or related area)
- Fluent English
- Solid planning, priority setting, and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects and resources
Nice to have
- Additional languages
- PMI certification or equivalent project management training
- Background in Tier-1/ Tier-2 consulting firms
- Strong written, verbal and communication skills
- Strategic, intellectually curious thinker with focus on outcomes
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Leadership and ability to motivate and focus on results delivery
- Curiosity and willingness to drive change
