We are looking for an experienced Buyer to join our Buying team in Brugherio (Monza) in the home têxtiles category.

It's a fast paced and diverse role and when we say that two days are never the same, we're not kidding.

Reporting into the Buying Manager for the category your main responsibilities will be:

- source, select and secure a suitable range of products for QVC to fit the target market and meet sales targets ensuring the range is fresh and exciting for the customer

- negotiate the best possible prices and conditions of trade

- work with Planning to review product performance, plan and grow the product range.

- oversee and take accountability for product flow in and out of the business

- work with the Media Operations team to ensure product execution and sales are maximised

- be aware of inventory levels, taking accountability for the return to supplier (RTV) process, ensuring stock is returned promptly.

- ensure Presenters are fully briefed on all product information before live shows to maximise sales.

- identify, negotiate and present key promotional products

- meet with suppliers to review product performance and develop new concepts, ensuring products comply with QVC's long-term objectives and quality standards

- work with Senior Buyers and/or Buying Manager to develop supplier relationships, keeping up to date with new trends and competitor activity, and taking advantage of new ideas/concepts and products

- negotiate vendor contracts and ensure they are executed promptly

- support product development in own category

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Degree in economics or equivalent

- 5+ of experience as buyer preferably in retail

- Preferably previous experience in fashion/home têxtiles/home decor categories

- Experience category management and vendor negotiation

- English: fluent

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite (especially Excel)
