Job Purpose: Order the needed components at the right price when they are needed. Duties & Responsibilities: Work closely with Planning and Logistics to ensure a smooth inbound supply chain process considering parts requirements and suppliers. Prepare purchase orders, and negotiate prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance. Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure the resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries. Minimize the number of past due purchase orders according to the agreed lead-time with the supplier and be responsible for the short, medium and long term performance of the suppliers. The Individual: Previous experience in Procurement, or equivalent experience considering the role/product. Have an analytical mindset with a proven ability to resolve problems and identify solutions. Demonstrated ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily. Proven negotiation skills and expertise. Skillful in Excel and Windows applications.
