As a Buyer, you will play a vital role in the procurement and logistics team in Process Automation Energy Industries, in Italy.

In this role you will provide assistance to the wider business by ensuring that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures and by providing relevant market information.

**This position reports to**:

Procurement Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Identifying and qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team, supplier Quality and engineering specialists, using SAP ARIBA tool.

- Purchasing materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms, negotiating with main suppliers and periodically renewing price lists, terms and conditions.

- Adapting corporate contractual framework to the local business needs.

- Initiating purchase orders according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures.

- Overseeing of supplier performance evaluation (on-time delivery, quality, lead time, HSE) and resolving performance issues.

**Your background**:

- Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, in alternative Economics backgrounds are welcome.

- At least 5 years of experience in the field, working as buyer of direct materials and services for Industrial solutions.

- Demonstrated experience working with international team and standard operating procedures.

- Strong knowledge of SAP ERP.

- Good knowledge of English and Italian fluency, both written and spoken.

- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.

Proactivity, teamwork skills, problem solving, and result orientation will complete your profile.
