A person in this role will be responsible for delivering category management and projects, including responsibility for a portfolio of ingredients, providing cross-functional support as a true Business Partner for Italian business.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Formulate and optimise the procurement strategies for multiple Giotti ingredient categories using the agreed tools to deliver value for the category.

Support the Italy business stakeholders as the business partner for all EMEA/Global/MGIL Ingredients/Raw Material buyers for both retailers and Industries units.

Administrative & system management of raw material contracts & price updates.

Provide specific project support to the industrial Commercial and NPD teams when required.

Manage supplier performance against agreed objectives, putting in place corrective actions where necessary.

Identify and deliver Continuous Cost Improvement (CCI) opportunities for these categories.

Collaborating cross functionally to participate in optimisation projects in terms of cost, quality, service and innovation.

Ensure continuity of supply for categories through the creation and execution of a supply risk management strategy.

Support innovation and business development through successful new product development delivery.

Use reporting tools and communicate regularly on the progress of projects to ensure successful execution of agreed procurement strategies.

Embed the supply issues communication and escalation process within Italy supply chain/operations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or applicable field of study will be preferred.

Solid proven experience in Purchasing/Buyer role with appropriate business experience.

Knowledge of Food/Manufacturing Industry will be highly preferred.

Previous project management, execution of or participation in large, multiple or cross-functional projects.

Ability to deal with diverse and sometimes conflicting priorities.

Sound and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills are required.

Ability to manage stakeholder at various levels.

Fluent verbal and written Italian and English essential.
