We are currently seeking a Senior Buyer, reporting directly to the Purchasing Section Head to join our Sourcing & Procurement team based in Rome, Italy. About the JobAs a member of the Fired Heater, PVHE and Steels Structures Purchasing Section, you will be responsible for the purchasing of the equipment managed by the section (Furnaces, boilers, flares, stacks, reactors, columns, heat exchangers, air coolers, pressure vessels, steels structures) for the material requisitions allocated to you on our international Projects. Under the guidance and supervision of your Section Head, you will be responsible for placing your purchase orders (POs) within the given budget and schedule.

To ensure this, you will:Prepare bidder lists adapted to the scope of supplySetup and manage the enquiries in the purchasing toolReceive bids, shortlist vendors, carry out commercial and contractual negotiations, and issue Commercial Bid Tabulation (CBT) with supplier recommendationsPlace the PO and manage modifications/PO amendments up to PO close-outInterface and collaborate with different departments including Engineering, Project, Legal, Compliance, Cost Control, Planning, Vendor Performance Management, and TransportationAchieve the most effective purchasing process and identify cost and schedule saving opportunities. About YouWe'd love to hear from you, and in addition to a mandatory fluency in English, here are our preferential requirements:Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Energetic or Management)Minimum experience of 4 years in the purchasing functionExperience in contractual negotiationWhat's next?
