Location: Naples, ITJob Category: OtherEU work permit required: YesJob Reference:Job Views: 3Posted: 13. 02. 2025Expiry Date: 30. 03. 2025Job Description:Deadline Date: Thursday 20 February 2025Full Time On-Site: YesTime On-Site: 100%Total Scope of the request (hours): 912Required Start Date: 7 April 2025End Contract Date: 31 December 2025Required Security Clearance: NATO SECRETDuties and Role:Investigates, defines and resolves technical issues;Assists in designing requirements, analyzing associated risks, advising on technical solutions;Installs, operates, manages and maintains assigned CORE and Functional System software, Databases and other Applications (COTS) and stays abreast of latest developments;Contributes to applications and data integrity and supports NCI Agency CIS Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans;Maintains liaison with other CSU internal units, NCI Agency Business Areas and other technical organizations;Provides support to development of operations and exercises plans during execution phases;Assists in implementing procedures, tools and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of applications;Contributes to advising on the capacity and scalability requirements of the assigned applications;Assists in the implementation of Business Area/CSU assigned project work packages;Contributes to implementation and control of Cyber Security policies and procedures;Provides advice and assistance in identifying software requirements for automated systems including security considerations;Supports in performing risk assessments and identifying potential risks;Deputizes for higher grade staff;Performs other duties as may be required. Requirements:Skill, Knowledge & Experience:The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance;A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience;Alternatively, at least 5 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post may compensate for the lack of a university degree;In-depth technical knowledge of Servers Core Services (Windows and Linux), Functional Services, Databases (SQL, ORACLE), VMWare Environment;Relevant experience and sound knowledge of Cyber Security and Networking;Proven capability of converting evolving operational requirements into Information Systems requirements;Proven experience in installing, configuring and administering Windows/LINUX Server OS, Databases (SQL/Oracle), VMWare;Proven experience in programming or scripting for system administration and software deployment, particularly using SCCM;Proven experience in providing advice and guidance on CIS strategies to manage identified risks;Proven experience in guiding assigned resources and developing a safe and productive environment for Technicians/Subject Matter Experts. Desirable Experience and Education:Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT;Knowledge of policy, procedures, and organization of NATO CIS.
