OHB Italia is seeking for its Equipment Business Unit in Milan for immediate start a

CAD DESIGNER m/f Ref.

CAD_EQUIP_2025 Tasks Collaborate with system engineer (project responsible) for mechanical design requirement definition and discussion. Collaborate with thermal and structural engineers to accommodate complex systems. Create 3D designs for space equipment. Create 2D manufacturing and technical assembly, and ICD drawings, as well as project-level documentation. Optimize equipment's mechanical design to improve performance and reliability. Perform fast-prototypes for quick validation of design. Specify, select, and acquire necessary components required for mechanical designs. Manage part lists and libraries including standard mechanical and electrical components. Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Experience in 3D and 2D modelling with SIEMENS NX. Experience in both thermal & structural design (is an advantage). Minimum 3 years' experience in the mechanical design of mechanical/structural systems (in space field is a plus). Knowledge of materials (metallic and composite), coatings, and adhesives. Fluent in English. Experience gathering technical requirements and developing technical specifications and documentation. Experience in relationships with Customers and with Subcontractors and Suppliers during his/her past work. System-oriented thinking and vision. Awareness and sensitivity for cost and schedule impacts.
