OHB Italia is seeking for its Equipment Business Unit in Milan for immediate start a

**CAD DESIGNER M/F Ref.

**Tasks

- Collaborate with system engineer (project responsible) for mechanical design requirement definition and discussion.

- Collaborate with thermal and structural engineers to accommodate complex systems.

- Create 3D designs for space equipment.

- Create 2D manufacturing and technical assembly, and ICD drawings, as well as project-level documentation.

- Optimize equipment's mechanical design to improve performance and reliability.

- Perform fast-prototypes for quick validation of design.

- Specify, select, and acquire necessary components required for mechanical designs.

- Manage part lists and libraries including standard mechanical and electrical components.

**Qualifications

- Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

- Experience in 3D and 2D modelling with SIEMENS NX.

- Experience in both thermal & structural design (is an advantage).

- Minimum 3 years' experience in the mechanical design of mechanical/structural systems (in space field is a plus).

- Knowledge of materials (metallic and composite), coatings, and adhesives.

- Fluent in English.

- Experience gathering technical requirements and developing technical specifications and documentation.

- Experience in relationships with Customers and with Subcontractors and Suppliers during his/her past work.

- System-oriented thinking and vision.

- Awareness and sensitivity for cost and schedule impacts.
