Job Overview and Responsibilities The Capex Project Procurement Leader shall be responsible for:

1 - (20%) Small Capex needs (>100 k EUR) for certain plants in Italyo Coordinate with Site Buyers and Site Management (maintenance, engineering)o Pro-actively capture Capex needs, in order to ensure early procurement involvement and optimize added value creationo Seek for structural improvement on site level, initiate leverage across sites, and propose process improvements that lead to increased efficiency and effectiveness2 - (70%) Leading the procurement process in assigned projects>2 M EURo Ensure that a first strategic alignment is taking place in the preliminary study (FEL2)o As an active member of the project management team (PMT), further develop the strategic alignment during Basic Engineering (FEL3).

Develop and propose the Project Procurement Strategy to the PMT and Procurement governance structures. o Ensure sufficient procurement resources are mobilized (internal, external) and coordinate between all procurement resources, in order to ensure compliance to the project objectives (cost, schedule) and the project procurement strategyo Conduct the RFI (Request for Information) process, to ensure the bidders list complies with HSE standards, and bidders undergo a pre-qualification (HSE, Quality) where needed. o Lead the contracting process, from Request for Quotation (RFQ) to award of contract, both during Basic Engineering (for Long Lead Items) and during Project Execution phase, and this for both Goods and Services.

Ensure TBE (Technical Bid Evaluation) and CBE (Commercial Bid Evaluation) are conducted and completed. o Ensure a consensus is reached for the award of each contract, optimize between Price and Risk (Quality, Schedule, Contract terms), and drive for optimal TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)o Ensure contract administration (desk expediting, invoicing issues, bond management, change order management) and contract managementis organized and effectively executed after the award of the contract / Purchase Order, based on external resource mobilizationo Support claim management and lead claim negotiations, and actively support in escalated contract management topics (schedule delays, quality issues). 3 - (10%) Be a global category owner in assigned company categories impacting Capex executiono Lead global strategy development on a specific category, in order to leverage Solvays strength across projects, and across Capex and Opex if applicableo Align actively, and seek consensus, within the procurement team, with Global Business Units (GBU) stakeholders, and with the Global Engineering Centre (GEC)o Propose the strategy to the defined governance bodyo Actively lead and monitor category strategy implementation Education and Experience

- 5 years of procurement experience, by preference Capex and/or Opex related

- Strong contracting skills, able to negotiate Key Terms that lead to the right balance of Price versus Risk, while safeguarding strong contractual contract management Skills

- Be a global team player, strong communication & interpersonal skills* Able to build relationships in multi-disciplinary teams* High developed Leadership capability and impact & influencing skills to lead procurement and contract administration teams consisting of both internal and external members* Innovative thinker that detects opportunities, finds way to exploit them, but also foresees risk and mitigates them before they can materialize"* Italian and English are mandatory Additional Information
