Don't miss your chance to make an impact!We are currently looking for an experienced Car Systems Design Engineer.

In this role, you will be responsible for completing the design of engine systems, fuel systems, gearbox cooling systems, and integration of these into the whole car package.

For the specific components assigned, you will be responsible for contributing to concept through detailed design, supporting documentation, and problem resolution. Responsibilities:Working under the guidance of the team leader to support design work with concept and aerodynamic departments to maximize car systems' impact on overall car performance. Ensuring that all design work is fit for purpose and taking ownership of the quality of parts designed. Completing detailed design of car systems components and installations assigned on target according to planned deadlines. Clearly communicating with members of the group in a timely manner and supporting everyone in meeting their targets. Maintaining and developing good relationships with other departments. Contributing to car performance with ideas for improvement and highlighting any potential issues seen. Keeping up-to-date with all latest technical developments which can be applied. Ensuring designs are released on target and to agreed specifications. Providing flexible attendance and attitude to work, both in line with the requirements of the role and any specific requirements of the projects. Working in a professional manner at all times regardless of the task set and being proactive in promoting a positive image for the department/team/sponsors. Experience Needed:Qualified to at least bachelor degree level in an Engineering Discipline. Extensive automotive design experience, ideally related experience in F1. Knowledge of metallic material uses and treatments. Basic understanding of composite materials and their production. Experienced user of tools such as CATIA, Siemens NX, or similar. Ability to scope new tasks thoroughly. Able to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to take initiative and innovate.
