Card Terminal Field Tester
The Team
The Quality Assurance (QA) team's purpose is to ensure that the services/software customers receive, consistently meet, or exceed expectations which helps boost Viva Wallet reputation.
This is achieved by initially reviewing the project and quality requirements, designing, and executing the required test scenarios, reporting the issues and by improving the SDLC processes.
The QA team comprises of 4 key roles - Test Analyst, Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Engineer in Test (SET), and Card Terminal Field Tester.
**The Role
The main responsibility of the Card Terminal Field Tester is to ensure the proper functionality, installation, and troubleshooting of Card Terminals at various merchant locations when support is needed, both domestically and in nearby countries.
This role requires a proactive and customer-focused individual who can provide exceptional technical support and contribute to the seamless operation of payment systems and ability to travel not only within the country but also abroad.
The role will work with both the Key Merchant Success and Technical Account Management teams, as well as directly with QA, Product, and Technology teams to ensure that all new deployments are up to standards and delivered successfully at client premises, including any periodic or adhoc maintenance work requiring re-testing and further guidance during the life and enhanced development of the solutions.
**Responsibilities**:
1.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues with Card Terminals, including connectivity problems, software bugs, and hardware malfunctions, both locally and in nearby countries.
2.
Testing: Conduct testing to ensure Card Terminals meet performance standards and compliance requirements.
3.
Training: Provide training and guidance to merchant staff on the proper use and troubleshooting of Card Terminals.
4.
Customer Support: Offer exceptional customer service by responding promptly to merchant inquiries and requests for technical assistance.
5.
Installation and Configuration: Install and configure Card Terminals at merchant locations, ensuring they are connected and set up correctly.
6.
Reporting: Prepare reports on service activities, including technical issues encountered, solutions implemented, and recommendations for improvements.
**Requirements**:
1.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field is a plus.
2.
Proven experience in a similar field service or technical support role.
3.
Knowledge of Card Terminal hardware and software.
4.
Familiarity with Payment Processing Systems.
5.
Willingness to travel domestically and to nearby countries as needed.
6.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
7.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
8.
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
9.
Fluent in Italian and English
