Posting Details Posting Number: 20200290T Position Title: Casual Temporary Associate Position Type: Temp/Intern Location: Villanova, PA Work Schedule: temporary Approximate Number of Hours per Week: 25 Department: 412-Dining Services Operations Position Summary: We are currently hiring in our Dining Services Department This position will perform a variety of tasks required in the pantry and/or utility areas of dining services. Could include serving, food prep, cleaning and sanitizing of facilities, keeping dishes, silverware, cups, glasses, etc. , clean, sanitary, and available for service. Candidates 16 years or older are encouraged to apply This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the value of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement with a focus on our Core Values: Safety and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, Quality, Meticulous Attention to Detail, and Safety. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities and job tasks vary according to pantry and/or utility role: Pantry: Responsible for food prep and customer service including maintaining serving lines and cleaning serving area, prep area, and dining room. Utility: Responsible for maintaining and cleaning dishes, silverware, china, along with floors and dish machine. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years of age Basic knowledge of cleaning practices. Previous food service experience helpful. Ability to understand and follow written and/or oral instructions. Ability to work in refrigerated area. Preferred Qualifications: Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours: Ability to use various chemicals. Ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, push, pull up to 30 lbs independently. Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot/cold).
