We are on the lookout for a Centre Cook to join our amazing team! As our cook, you will play a vital role in preparing dishes that not only nourish our tamariki but also provide them with the essential energy they need to thrive, learn, and engage in playful activities!

This is a fantastic and rewarding opportunity for someone who has a shared passion for food and using nutrition to create new ways that will support physical and mental development within young children.

Our centre welcomes tamariki and their whanau, supporting children to develop into capable learners with a strong cultural identity. Qualified teachers bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, providing quality education in a stimulating environment. Our kitchen is fully equipped with all the tools you need to fill our tamariki's growing bellies!

What are we looking for?

- Experienced in cooking for large groups, be it in a childcare centre or other environment

- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment, at times under pressure.

- Fit and active, as this is a busy role

- Excellent at communication and have skills to build rapport with parents & children

- Flexible in approach, but also able to work to a daily schedule

- A real team player with a "can do" attitude
