**Position: CERTIFICATION MANAGER
**Purpose of the Job/Objective**:
The Certification Manager is the owner of the process to obtain the APOM "Authorization to Put On the Market" of a Rolling Stock, according to a defined Certification strategy.
She/He is part of the C&V EDU (Engineering Design Unit) and operates in a Rolling Stock project frame, according to European Regulation (IV Railway Package), to national processes (in not EC countries) and to internal procedures.
She/he functionally reports to the Project Manager
She/He is responsible for:
- Defining the Certification Process according to the strategy defined by the TVE and providing the Certification Plan;
- Managing the Certification planning in order to get the necessary authorizations in due time
- Selecting, clarifying Certification Requirements;
- Managing the process of selection of Notified Body/Designated Body (NoBo/DeBo)
- Defining the means of proof to demonstrate the compliance to Certification requirements;
- Managing the collection of Certification mean of proof through standard tools and according to the Certification planning
- Evaluating document compliance, and obtaining expert opinion if necessary
- Managing the assessment processes with Authorities (NoBo, DeBo, AsBo)
- Preparing documentation and submitting it to Certification stake holders and managing Q&A with them (Authorities and assessors)
- Managing the (final) certification conformity table
- Managing process to obtain the Intermediate authorizations for test on National infrastructures
- Providing the different authorizations in due time.
She/he is also responsible for the performances of the Certification Process according to specific of QCD targets; she/he provides periodical progress KPI to the Project manager.
Knowledge & Experience
- Mastering of Certification process (at least 3 years in Railways or Automotive or Aerospace domain)
- Train system and subsystem knowledge (at least 2 years)
- Customer and external stakeholders Technical Management
- Fluent in english

- Good capability to external relationship with Authorities
- Attitude to work in a dynamic context, in projects involving different sites
- Good attitude to work in team
- Availability to move for short period
Network & Links
- Job Internal Interfaces: Project team, RAMS Manager, TSE, Participating units, Country Regulator Officer.
- Job External Interfaces: Customer, Authorities, Independent Assessors and Notified Bodies, Operators and Maintainers.
