**THE IMPACT:
S/He coordinates the activities related to the assessment of chemical compliance of raw materials and components in order to ensure compliance with the regulations and contractual specifications related to the customer.
Furthermore, contributes to the definition of a robust database of information relating to the use of materials to increase product sustainability, monitoring the progress of the Sustainability Plan linked to the products.
**MAIN ACTIVITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Represent the center of excellence within Elica regarding the technical and chemical characteristics required of the materials and components used in the bills of materials;
- Disseminate knowledge of the main chemical regulations in force (European and international) and customer specifications relating to the use of chemical substances in Elica finished products;
- Gain relevant expertise of various customers' chemical specifications;
- Support the Elica Sustainability team in identifying opportunities related to sustainable materials from circular economy circuits, in close contact with R&D and Procurement in contact with the Supply Chain the objectives of the Sustainability Plan;
- Contribute to the ever-greater integration of the Supply Chain in the Sustainability Strategy, in particular by monitoring the performance of suppliers on ESG issues (e. g.
CSR audit, Scope 3 emissions reporting, etc.
)
**Requisiti**:
- Masters' degree in Mechanical / Environmental /Chemical / Material's engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of previous experience (preferably in medium/large companies)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package and SAP management
- Good knowledge of Chemical composition and characteristics of materials (e. g.
steel, polymers, non-ferrous materials, electronic components, etc.
)
- Excellent knowledge of the "RoHS" Directive and the "REACH" Regulation
- Experience in managing chemical compliance of manufactured products
- Italian native speaker; fluent in written and spoken English
- Positive and collaborative approach, open-minded and innovative mindset will complete the profile
