Chemical Registration Professional
Purpose of the role**:
Within the Janssen Environmental Product Compliance & Sustainability team, the Chemical Registration Professional will support the Global Chemical Compliance Program for the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson.
Her/His main role will be to secure timely submission of chemical registrations and notifications in different jurisdictions globally (e. g. , EU, China, India).
S/He will primarily coordinate and implement the registration and compliance strategy as defined by the Chemical Registration Lead.
**Major duties/Responsibilities**:
- Handle the registration & testing budget process,
- Coordinate the consultants and Contract Research Organisations,
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary network (R&D, Procurement, Production site, Tox/Phys-Chem/Ecotox, Supply Chain, Quality),
- Problem solving & troubleshooting,
- Dossier peer review,
- Review existing registration dossiers and proceed to update as per latest guidance and available information when required.
As a member of the Janssen Chemical Compliance team, s/he is expected to:
- Report on registration progress & upcoming activities in a timely and prompt manner,
- Build & maintain up-to-date records and data in the Janssen integrated chemical compliance tool,
- Stay on top of emerging chemical registration requirements & trends and assess their potential impact on our operations and strategies.
The individual will work across functional areas to develop and implement strategies to drive compliance improvements.
S/He will lead and/or participate in cross-functional projects centered on process improvement and innovation.
S/He will ensure publication of standard compliance procedures are completed in a timely, accurate and consistent fashion and will innovate by streamlining processes and driving efficiencies.
Resolving sophisticated issues independently, establishing when notification to senior management is appropriate and thriving in a multidisciplinary and remote environment are key attributes to succeeding in this role.

**Qualifications
**Skills/Knowledge/Capabilities**:
- Technical knowledge of main chemical regulations: EU REACH, China MEE Or.
12, India Chemicals Management & Safety Rules, South Korean K-REACH, Canada NSNR, Switzerland Chemical Ordinance
- Basic knowledge of GHS/CLP regulations
- Understanding of Phys-chem, tox, ecotox data requirements for registration dossiers
- Knowledge of test guidelines/GLP
- Scientific background in chemistry, tox and/or ecotox
- IUCLID, REACH-IT
- Having some experience in the Pharma production is a plus
**Years of experience**:
4-6 years
**Education**:
Master´s degree or equivalent
Science degree (chemistry, biology, toxicology, ecotoxicology, engineering, etc)
