Our client, in the food processing industry, is seeking a Chemist Lv1 to join their team.

Job Title: Chemist Lv1

Location: Dayton, OH

Pay Range: $29 - $31 (per hour)

Summary of the Position: The Chemist Level 1 will ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements for quality and food safety while developing an in-depth understanding of specific systems.

Key Responsibilities: Assess quality parameters and systems, including cross-checks, raw materials, calibration, maintenance, procedures, food safety, training, auditing, and oversight of analytical testing performed in control rooms.

Provide process improvement support, specialized testing, training, and audit systems.

Analyze data, identify trends, troubleshoot issues, implement corrective actions, and communicate findings related to processing data, final product, and wastewater.

Maintain and coordinate the chemist-technician partnership and training systems.

Approve final production to ensure compliance with customer specifications.

Handle customer audits, initiatives, and follow-ups.

Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating more complex issues as needed.

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in a scientific-related field required.

Experience: Entry-level position; college coursework experience required.

Preferred Experience: Laboratory experience.
