Candidate may be selected by resume review. Working Conditions Maintains the Arduous Fitness Standard in accordance with Department policy. The incumbent is required to wear respiratory protection equipment, including self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). As such, Cal / OSHA requires the incumbent to be annually medically cleared to be fit-tested for respiratory protection equipment. The Unit expects a two-year commitment for all permanent assignments before granting transfer eligibility. May be required to work nights, weekends, or holidays in support of emergency incidents. Special Requirements The position requires Medical Clearance prior to being hired. FELONY DISCLOSURE Pursuant to California Penal Code 4571, any individual interested in seeking employment who may be required to work with inmates at a conservation camp must disclose any prior felony status upfront, so CAL FIRE / CDCR can provide informed consent to a former felon to be on the Conservation Camp / Prison grounds.
