In order to expand our team, we are looking for an organized and empathic Chief of Staff to join us in our Milan office. Our website attracts over 3 million visitors annually, we are present in more than 800 points of sale worldwide, have a social community exceeding 500, 000 people, and sell over 120, 000 watches every year. Position Overview: The Chief of Staff will be a vital strategic partner to the CEO, working to enhance alignment across departments, drive operational efficiency, and support the realization of D1 Milano vision and goals. This role involves high-level project management, oversight of strategic initiatives, and responsibility for creating efficient communication channels across the organization. The Chief of Staff will act as a trusted advisor and will play a central role in planning, prioritizing, and executing the CEO's agenda. Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Execution: - Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term objectives; - Oversee the execution of key initiatives, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones; - Act as a project leader on cross-functional initiatives, managing priorities and coordinating with department heads for seamless execution; Executive Support and Decision Facilitation: - Provide support in preparing materials for board meetings, leadership presentations, and executive decision-making, ensuring clear, concise, and impactful communication; - Facilitate effective decision-making by gathering input, analyzing data, and synthesizing insights for the CEO; - Manage the CEO's priorities by organizing the executive calendar, identifying opportunities, and resolving conflicts to maximize efficiency; Cross-functional Alignment and Communication: - Serve as a liaison between the CEO and department heads, ensuring clear communication of strategic goals and timely follow-through on key initiatives; - Develop and implement internal communications plans to foster cross-departmental collaboration and reinforce the brand's vision and values; - Maintain a pulse on company operations and culture, identifying potential obstacles and proactively addressing them; Operational Efficiency and Process Improvement: - Identify areas for operational improvements and work with relevant teams to develop solutions that increase efficiency and drive results; - Lead or support initiatives to streamline processes, foster innovation, and improve overall team productivity; - Ensure company-wide initiatives are effectively launched and sustained by providing oversight and resources; Talent Management and Development: - Work with leadership to ensure HR & talent alignment with business needs, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with the brand's values and goals; - Identify training and development opportunities for leadership and staff to support their professional growth and drive team engagement; Special Projects and ad-hoc Responsibilities: - Take ownership of special projects or new initiatives as assigned by the CEO, from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with business objectives; - Manage ad-hoc requests and high-impact tasks on behalf of the CEO to maintain focus on key strategic priorities. Candidate Profile: The candidate must have an Economics degree, 5-7 years of working experience in a similar role, a start-up attitude, and an entrepreneurial mindset. Excellent knowledge of the English and Italian languages, written and spoken, is required. The candidate must possess a very organized mind and a very strong empathic/human value. High precision, problem-solving, project management attitude, the ability to work independently and in a team, and a critical and observational spirit complete the profile. It's required to adapt successfully to diverse situations and integrate seamlessly into the company culture. Presence in the office is required.
