Child Protection Case Manager (National Position) The child protection case manager oversees and supports cases of vulnerable children, ensuring they receive timely, appropriate services.
This includes conducting assessments, providing emotional support, referring to specialized services, and safeguarding case-related confidentiality.
The role also ensures the case management system is functional and adheres to national Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Tasks and Responsibilities Implementation: Conduct home visits when necessary and appropriate.
Support the identification of children at risk or child survivors and receive referrals for case management.
Conduct assessments and prioritize cases based on the level of risk.
Provide individual case management for children in accordance with case management steps, tools, and procedures.
Develop case plans that respond to the child's needs, harm, and build on the strengths of the family and child.
Ensure the provision of emergency cash assistance for the most vulnerable children, according to the needs of the child, the agreed criteria and the internal procedures and under the supervision of the supervisor.
Monitor, follow up, and review cases according to established timelines.
Participate and collaborate in recreational, psychosocial, awareness activities conducted inside or outside the centers when requested by the supervisor.
Collaboration and Coordination: Coordinate with other CP team members, center staff, and local stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to child protection and caregiver support.
Participate in regular case discussions and coordination meetings to share insights and improve the quality of services provided.
Work closely with all partners and actors to ensure proper referral pathways in the area of intervention and build a network with all actors working around implementation gateways.
Documentation and Reporting: Ensure proper documentation and compilation of case management forms in line with case management steps, tools, and procedures.
Adhere to Data Protection Protocols and Information Sharing Agreements while preparing and submitting reports.
Write weekly reports that compile case load data, analyze trends, identify challenges, and provide recommendations.
Provide weekly updates to the supervisor, outlining progress on cases and activities.
Other Responsibilities: Participate actively in all mandatory trainings and workshops provided by AVSI and/or the sector to improve knowledge and skills.
Participate in the development of technical documents, presentations, and reports and documenting achievements and lessons learned.
Perform other duties within areas of responsibility as requested by the supervisor.
Studies Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, social sciences, or relevant field.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in case management for at-risk children within emergency response settings in the NGO sector.
Language Proficiency:
Arabic mother tongue, excellent English and proficiency in French.
Required Skills and Experiences Hard Skills:
Administrative, Analytical Reasoning, Cloud Computing, Office Package Processing.
Soft Skills:
Collaboration, communication, conflict resolution, critical thinking, decision making, dealing with public relations, flexibility, leadership, motivation, problem-solving, teamwork, time management.
Previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
