Cic Europe Sales Leader
Job Description Summary**: Within the Grid Automation Business Line of GE Vernova, you are leading the Critical Infrastructure Communication (CIC) Sales team in Europe to support our customers in their Energy Transition by Digitalising Grids, Electrify Industry and facilitating Renewable Energies Integration.
Has independence in achieving commercial objectives within operating budgets and operating guidelines.
There is moderate autonomy within the role to enter into/execute Commercial arrangements.
High levels of Commercial judgment are required to achieve outcomes required.
The Role reports directly to the GA Europe Sales Leader.
**Major Responsibilities**:
- Sells the full CIC portfolio of product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects in Europe.
- Defines the business plan in the Europe for the different CIC sub-PLs (Industrial Communication, Utility Communication) to deliver the expected growth.
- Develops the strategy for each country in deep coordination with the GA sub-region Sales Leaders and the Regional Sales Leader.
- Manages the forecast in the CRP (SalesForce. Com) and delivers on the order intake and margin targets as per the plan.
- Manages the CIC Sales Managers and Technical Application Engineers in Europe within the frame of strategy, business plan, operating plan and policies defined at Grid Automation level for the Region.
- Defines the go to market strategy and negotiates sales agreements.
- Support the Tender Manager in formulating deal structure, assessing the technical and commercial risks, defining the pricing, and developing the proposal.
- Leads the deal reviews when needed prior to offer submission.
- Drives the customer negotiations.
- Identifies new opportunities with functional partners to develop new products and services for business growth.
- Requires specialized knowledge across product lines, markets, sales processes, or customer groups.
- Requires strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy for their broad sales territory, including control of resources.
- Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.
- Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, product lines, markets, sales processes, campaigns or customers. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
- Manages a small to medium team of senior professionals as well as others. May lead functional teams or projects with mínimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
- Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others' options on particular topics. May guide others to consider a different point of view.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Fluent in English, other European language is a plus
- Knowledge of the disciplines and extensive experience in the industry
- Previous experience in the sales function in energy business, commercial customer knowledge and established relationships
- Knowledge of pricing, costs and product accounting, analytical skills
- Experience in carrying out market assessments and subsequently developing and implementing relevant commercial strategies that facilitate market penetration.
- Ability to understand and improve processes in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills, customer focused, enthusiastic.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time.
