WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY:Act as a People & Culture business partner to the Unit Managers on all people topics, for the City Market Area across the UnitsLead and develop the unit P&C team to provide excellent co-worker experience for the City AreaEnsure the people strategy, global principles/guidelines as localised by the Country P&C team and relevant business plans are operationally implemented and lived up toResponsible for implementation of co-worker relations plan that effectively manages all local interactions with co-workers and ensures that all areas in the unit work with the labour relations principles and uphold local policies, procedures and lawTogether with the Finance Manager, you are responsible for the distribution of budget hours between the unit departments, according to the need of the business and the co-worker, enabling an effective and efficient people planning process as well as following up the entire unit staffing optimisation process (commercial influences, possible improvements, ensuring work schedules and actual worked hours comply with all labour rules and internal requirements)Implement people planning strategy at the store level, to secure the people planning priorities that promote co-worker empowerment while ensuring schedules are within budget frames. Influence store management team to continuously develop local leadership capabilities within their functionEnsure delivery of learning & training at unit level, supported by the P&C Generalist or Market Area Learning Delivery SpecialistEnsure local employer communication is consistent, well perceived and builds on the IKEA brandTogether with the market area manager, secure an up-to-date succession process and plan by influencing the managers in taking the lead with special focus on developing talents and high-performing potentialsWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:Minimum of 8 years of Human Resources experience and minimum of 5 years in leadership role as a HR Business Partner or HR Manager in a multinational contextPreferably experience in Retail Mass Market or Operational, Logistics and Supply Chain sectorYou are passionate about people and you have a strong belief in individuals' potential, you are also passionate in creating an engaging co-worker experience and are able to lead business through peopleStrong knowledge of staff planning and staff optimization on wide groups and teams within big size storesStrong knowledge about the rights and obligations of workers and employers, and how to mediate the relationship between workers, employing entities, trade unions and the governmentStrong leadership skills and ability to influence stakeholders at different levelsYou demonstrate the ability to use different leadership styles and needs as well as appropriate use for different situationsYou have the ability to implement long-term plans according to set budgets and goalsAbility to work independently, take own initiatives and responsibility but also a team-playerFull proficiency in English and Italian both written and spokenOpen to work variable shifts and weekends and to work on a multisite location in RomeWORKING WITH US HAS ITS REWARDSBeing part of the IKEA team has many benefits.
