Key Activities & Responsibilities:The Civil & Structural Steel Work Specialist will cooperate with the Civil Discipline Lead (DL) in the execution of the Steelwork activities.

In particular main activities and duties will be:to prepare and discuss with the Project Team and the Head of Department/Group Leader the execution strategy of the project (including the project schedule) and assure its application throughout the entire project life;to cooperate and coordinate with the Project Engineering Manager and the Project Leader to create and maintain the project procedures, guidelines and standards;to assure the coordination of the activities of the discipline regardless the location and distribution of the engineering centres guaranteeing the consistency of the documents with the contract, the respect of the time schedule, the implementation of the contract requirements, the compliance of the assigned budget (both cost and man-hours) and the quality of the deliverables under the guidance of the Project Engineering Manager and cooperating with the Project Leader;to interact with Client representatives and Vendors for all the technical topics impacting on the project for time and costs;to guarantee assistance to the inspection and construction departments upon request as per project needs;to guarantee the quality of the deliverables generated and their compliance with the contractual requirements of the project contracts satisfying the assigned budget and time schedule;to assist the Group Leader or the Head of Department in guaranteeing the application and the continuous updating of the department and company standards, procedures and work instructions;to secure the steel works design (process industrial bldg, pipe racks, warehouse etc.

), related to the assigned projects, on the basis given by the Civil Project Leader, and in agreement with other disciplines;to coordinate Engineering subcontractors and Steel Vendors;coordinating all activities split in different engineering centres, checking the issued documents, in compliance with the budget and the schedule, while securing cost optimization;to secure the 3D model and dwg, extraction of steel works according to the structural calculation;to coordinate the steel works design on the basis of the data received from other discipline (Layout & Piping, Electrical, Instrumentation, Utilities/ Power Process, Design HSE, Mechanical, Design & Utilities/Power Process, HVAC etc.

);to check and approve vendor's document (erection and shop dwg.

list of materials, 3D model etc.

);to aid the Civil Project Leader in the material requisition cycle (issue, bid technical evaluation, vendor qualification, supply follow up);to cooperate with PEM and PM to provide feedback to the department's chief concerning the problems occurred during the application of standard procedures and instructions, in order to improve department's efficacy and efficiency;to conduct technical training as per department and Company needs and exchange experience with colleagues of the entire Tecnimont Group for new Design techniques;to monitor the market about the "State of Art" to provide technical and commercial evaluations about new products, technologies, workflow, applications. Personal Attributes:Master's degree in civil engineering is preferred;minimum 5 years of experience in steel vendor coordination, preferable in plant engineering companies in petrochemical, oil & gas, power;experience in coordinating international Steel Vendor suppliers or Steel Mechanical Subcontractors, distributed in different locations (engineering centers or site), as well as in engineering teams;basic knowledge of Project Management (e. g.

Progress S-Curve);expert in TEKLA Structure software for modelling and development purpose;expert in AutoCad 2D drawings for modifying documents and in Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection;knowledge of collaborative environment such as BIM360 and/or Trimble Connect;previous experience as BIM Specialist/Coordinator is a plus;previous experience as Expediter is a plus;previous experiences in Steel Manufacturing is a plus;fluent English speaker and writer is a must, knowing Italian is a plus;availability to travel for short and long period.
