WSP has a new opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our Power & Energy team based in Rende (Cosenza) or Rome.

The successful candidate will join our multidisciplinary, international team, contributing to renewable energy projects.

YOUR NEW ROLE, WHATS INVOLVED?

The individual will perform routine engineering tasks that require the application of engineering principles.

This includes completing specific portions of assignments using prescribed methods, compiling, verifying, and analysing data to address engineering problems.

They will assist in creating designs, studies, reports, and process deliverables, as well as performing calculations, simulations, and preliminary analyses with accuracy and attention to detail.

Additionally, the individual will support the preparation of material requisitions, specifications, and other related documents while coordinating work with other technical team members as directed.

They will also assist in the development and verification of project control documents and status reports, ensuring alignment with project requirements and objectives.

WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?

The ideal candidate will have a background in ground improvement, reinforcement, retaining structures, and foundation engineering, with at least basic experience using geotechnical and structural software such as Plaxis, Geostudio, Gint, or Rocscience.

They should have knowledge of civil and structural regulatory codes, standards, and design criteria relevant to the renewable energy sector.

The candidate will be developing their skills as a consultant or designer, delivering high-quality work within scope, schedule, and budget while proactively addressing any issues that arise.

Accuracy in calculations and data, as well as adherence to established methods and guidelines, is essential.

The individual will work under the supervision of senior engineers while occasionally providing technical direction for specific tasks.

They will collaborate within their team and across disciplines as needed, with a strong ability to follow through on commitments.

Proficiency in written communication and technical writing will be developed, alongside a focus on safe work practices in both office and field settings.

They should be open to feedback, willing to take on various tasks, and capable of managing multiple commitments.

Over time, the candidate will demonstrate growth in technical and interpersonal skills, building a professional network within the business unit to support their workload and career progression.

Degree in Civil engineering Experience as Project Engineer; Structural calculation, foundation dimensioning, roads design, Geology, Geotech; Deep knowledge of the authorization process for Renewables in Italy; Design of Renewable plants (PV, AgroPV, Wind onshore).

BESS and OSW is a plus; Constraint analysis (national, regional, provincial, local level); Softwares: Plaxis, Geostudio, Gint, Rocscience, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Office Package.
