We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer, reporting directly to the Building Section Head, to join our Building Engineering team based in Italy, Rome Operating Center.

You will work inside the Building Section that is in charge of the management of industrial building design.

Key interaction internally is with site, civil works, and other disciplines technical specialists and engineers and other operating centers; externally with Clients/Partners (technical specialists), Engineering Subcontractors, and Construction Subcontractors.

About the Job

Your main missions and responsibilities will be to:

Carry out the design of buildings by producing job design specifications, calculation reports, and related drawings (architectural and structural);Ensure timely reporting on engineering activities to the Building Section Head;Ensure proper communication within the building and civil works team and with other disciplines (e. g. , Process, Electric, Instrumentation, Firefighting, etc. )

for the management of interfaces;Review and apply Project specifications and standards;Provide value engineering on specifications and standards provided by Clients;Meet quality and HSE objectives of the project;Prepare transfer dossiers to other operating centers/Subcontractors for detail engineering;Monitor design progress and ensure timely and qualitative preparation of project deliverables;Ensure that comments from other disciplines are incorporated into the design;Transmit comments to other disciplines;Review the building design and associated deliverables provided by contractors, and monitor the related progress;Capability to work in an international context and availability for short and long-term missions abroad;

About You

We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

Qualifications: Masters degree in civil engineering

Languages: fluent in Italian and in English

Main Skills and Requirements:

Experience in the development of architectural and structural design (concrete and steel structures) for technical engineering industrial buildings;Experience in Building design using AutoCAD and/or Microstation 2D software and 3D modeling using Revit for architectural part and Sap /Staad for structural part;Capability to perform work on time and at the required quality level;Capability to ensure interface communication with other disciplines and to bring technical solutions to the project;Attitude to problem solving;Creation of tools for automation of data management;Ability to work effectively in a team, within an international and multicultural environment;Growth mindset and continuous improvement approach;Good presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels;Sharp eye for detail and ability to complete tasks on time with the required company quality level and a high degree of precision;Availability to international mobility for either short or long-term assignment;Experience in the same role, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
